GETTING TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT IN KEY WEST

Many travelers to and from Key West fly into airports in other cities, such as Miami, Fort Myers and Naples. Car rental is simple in these places, and it takes 3 to 5 hours to drive, with the option of visiting other places in South Florida and the Keys on the way. Key West International Airport, the southernmost airport in the United States,  is located 2 miles (3 km) east of the city, and is one of the smallest airports offering scheduled passenger jet service.
